Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture Adil Karimli recently met with a Georgian delegation led by Giorgi Mirtskhulava, the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, during their visit to Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting on July 9 focused on enhancing cultural cooperation between the two nations. Adil Karimli praised the advancing relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, attributing the progress to the collaborative efforts of both countries' leaders. He noted that the bilateral relations have now reached the level of a strategic partnership, which opens up significant opportunities for cultural collaboration.

Karimli highlighted the substantial development in the fields of theater and cinema, emphasizing the importance of these areas in the cultural cooperation between the countries. Giorgi Mirtskhulava expressed gratitude for the warm welcome by the Azerbaijani side and delivered greetings from Georgia's Minister of Culture, Tinatin Rukhadze.

The Georgian first deputy minister reiterated Georgia's interest in expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation with Azerbaijan. Both parties shared their views on further enriching cultural ties, underlining the importance of such exchanges.

The Georgian delegation's visit to Baku was also to participate in the 3rd meeting of the Joint Working Group between the Ministries of Culture of Azerbaijan and Georgia, aimed at further enhancing bilateral cultural cooperation.
