Baku: Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev recently met with Maria Papakonstantinou, the Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the healthcare sector. The discussions centered on the development of healthcare systems, medical education, training of healthcare professionals, digital health solutions, and public health cooperation.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Teymur Musayev provided an overview of the healthcare reforms in Azerbaijan, including measures to improve population access to medical services and ongoing efforts to digitalize the healthcare sector. He also highlighted the modernization of healthcare infrastructure as a critical component of these reforms.
The Greek Ambassador expressed gratitude for the hospitality received and emphasized Greece's commitment to strengthening healthcare cooperation with Azerbaijan. She underscored the mutual interest in expanding ties between the relevant healthcare institutions of both countries. The meeting concluded with discussions on other issues of mutual interest, signaling a shared commitment to fostering stronger healthcare collaboration.
