Baku: Azerbaijan and Hungary's foreign ministries engaged in the second round of consular consultations in Baku on February 11. The discussions were led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Bal¡zs Farkas, Director of the Department of Consular Affairs and Citizenship at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the consultations focused on evaluating the existing cooperation in consular services and the potential for future collaboration. Azerbaijan views Hungary as an important strategic partner, and discussions included the possibility of signing new bilateral agreements aimed at digitalizing consular services.
The representatives from both countries also shared perspectives on recent developments in the consular sector. Additionally, they considered proposals to improve cooperation in areas such as legal assistance, education, migration, and labor.
