Azerbaijan and IMF Hold Talks on Economic Diversification Measures

Baku: Samad Bashirli, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy, recently met with Anna Bordon, Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Azerbaijan. The meeting was centered around discussions on current and medium-term economic forecasts, structural reforms aimed at diversifying Azerbaijan's economy, and updates in tax policy and administration.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the IMF delegation received information regarding the expansion of state support mechanisms for entrepreneurship and investment policies that target the non-oil-and-gas sector. Furthermore, partnership opportunities with international financial institutions were also presented during the talks.

Both parties engaged in an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest, highlighting the commitment to strengthen economic collaboration and foster sustainable growth through diversification strategies.
