Azerbaijan and Israel Discuss Regional Security Amid Tensions

Baku: Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar and Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation to discuss escalating security concerns in the region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the call took place on March 5, focusing on the recent military tensions and their implications for regional stability.

During the discussion, Minister Bayramov informed Minister Saar about drone attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a territory of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani minister emphasized that these actions violate the country's sovereignty and contravene international law.

The Israeli Foreign Minister condemned the attacks, labeling them as unacceptable, and expressed solidarity with Azerbaijan. Saar reiterated his condemnation in a social media post, describing Iran's actions as reckless and indicative of a regime out of control. He affirmed Israel's commitment to ongoing military operations to achieve their objectives.
