Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture Adil Karimli met with the Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Luca Di Gianfrancesco on February 3. Minister Adil Karimli highlighted the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy, emphasizing its role in fostering successful cultural cooperation.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Karimli noted that cultural collaboration between the two nations is growing annually. This cooperation spans areas such as the preservation and restoration of historical and cultural heritage, along with music, theatre, artistic education, architecture, and design. The Minister particularly pointed out the involvement of Italian companies in restoration projects within Azerbaijan's liberated territories.

Ambassador Luca Di Gianfrancesco expressed gratitude for the meeting, underlining Italy's commitment to cultural cooperation with Azerbaijan. He also acknowledged the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's contributions to the restoration of historical and religious heritage sites in Italy and the Vatican.

Both parties praised the work of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Italy and exchanged views on additional mutual concerns during their meeting.
