Baku: On July 28, Amina Aghazada, head of the Azerbaijan-Japan interparliamentary working group at the Milli Majlis, met with a Japanese delegation, led by Michihiro Ishibashi, a member of the House of Councillors.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Aghazada expressed confidence that the visit would contribute to further strengthening the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Japan, which are based on mutual respect, trust, and long-term partnership. She noted that the recent intensification of political dialogue and the maintenance of close contacts have contributed to deepening bilateral ties and advancing cooperation in such areas as the economy, energy, culture, and education.

Ishibashi reaffirmed the Japanese parliament's willingness to continue strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of reciprocal visits and close contacts in promoting bilateral relations.

The meeting also explored the role of interparliamentary cooperation in strengthening bilateral ties, with the sides emphasizing the importance of maintaining regular dialogue and exchanging parliamentary experience.
