Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Discuss Expanding Middle Corridor Cooperation

Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with Kazakhstan's Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev, along with other key officials, to assess potential expansion of cooperation on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, known as the Middle Corridor.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions focused on investment opportunities in ferry vessels and increasing road freight transportation. The project to lay an underwater fiber-optic cable along the Caspian Sea bed was also on the agenda. Both sides shared views on a draft agreement aimed at developing the Middle Corridor and efforts to digitalize its operations.
