Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Expand Cooperation in Railway Sector

Baku: A meeting was held in Baku between the management teams of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Kazakhstan Railways National Company CJSC, one of the AZCON Holding companies, ADY told APA-Economics. The discussions focused on enhancing the collaboration between the two nations, particularly in the railway sector, and ensuring efficient and safe international cargo transportation. Both countries are strategic participants in the East-West transport corridor.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting also addressed the strengthening of cooperation between the Baku International Sea Port and the ports of Kazakhstan. Another key focus was the transshipment of Kazakh-origin products at the Baku Port, with further transportation by rail to Georgian ports or to Turkish and global markets through the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line.
