DZUNGARIAN ALATAU—The “Altyn Kyran – 2024” (Golden Eagle – 2024) joint tactical-special military exercise, involving Azerbaijani and Kazakh servicemen, commenced in the Dzungarian Alatau mountains. The exercise is focused on enhancing the tactical skills of the participating personnel and strengthening the combat readiness of their respective units.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the first day of the exercise included reconnaissance tasks in challenging mountainous terrain. Participants received training in the use of mountaineering equipment, techniques for climbing and descending steep rocks, providing first aid at high altitudes, and evacuating injured personnel. The exercise aims to improve the combat capabilities of the units involved in the drills.
