Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan Sign Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan

BISHKEK: The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov, to discuss and enhance military cooperation between their nations. The meeting, held in Kyrgyzstan, culminated in the signing of a Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2025, marking a significant step in the defense relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the official visit by Colonel General Hasanov included a formal welcoming ceremony at the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Defense Ministers were received by a guard of honor as the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were played by a military orchestra. Discussions during the meeting focused on developing military, military-technical, and military educational cooperation. The two sides also exchanged views on regional security and other mutual interests.
