Siena:A ceremony was held to mark the adoption of a joint statement between Azerbaijan and Laos, attended by President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Thongloun Sisoulith of Laos. The event included the exchange of documents signed by representatives of the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Laos, Shovgi Mehdizade, and Laos' Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Linkham Douangsavanh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on agricultural cooperation between their respective ministries.

Additionally, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, and Laos' Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Thongsavanh Phomvihane, exchanged an agreement for the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of service passports from both countries.
