Azerbaijan and Morocco Forge Military Cooperation Agreement.


Marrakech: Azerbaijan and Morocco have officially signed an agreement to enhance military cooperation, marking a significant step in bilateral relations between the two countries. The agreement was finalized during the working visit of Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to Morocco. This visit was made at the invitation of Abdellatif Loudiyi, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the National Defense Administration of Morocco.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Colonel General Hasanov met with his Moroccan counterpart during his visit. The Azerbaijani Minister of Defense expressed gratitude for the invitation to the Marrakech Air Show 2024. The discussions between the two defense leaders focused on the potential development of military and military-technical relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco. They also deliberated on other mutual interests.

The culmination of the meeting was the signing of the “Agreement on Military Cooperati
on in the field of defense between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco.” This agreement reflects the commitment of both nations to reinforce their defense ties.
