Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with NATO Deputy Secretary General, Radmila Shekerinska, to discuss the current agenda and future prospects for cooperation within the Azerbaijan-NATO partnership. The meeting addressed various partnership mechanisms and regional and international security issues.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions underscored the significance of Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation, highlighting the positive impact of dialogue and interaction within the partnership on regional security. The parties explored potential collaboration in mine action, cybersecurity, and other areas.

The NATO Deputy Secretary General praised Azerbaijan's involvement in NATO peacekeeping operations and missions, its active support for processes in Afghanistan, defense reforms, and adaptation efforts. She also acknowledged the visit of NATO member states' permanent representatives to Azerbaijan in November.

Minister Bayramov shared insights on the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, efforts to build confidence, and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region. He also discussed agreements from the Washington summit on August 8, and the prospects for peaceful resolution and regional projects in transport and infrastructure.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
