Baku:Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Nigerian Foreign Minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu engaged in a telephone conversation to explore the enhancement of bilateral ties between the two nations. They discussed mutual concerns and their cooperation within multilateral platforms.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, The ministers emphasized the importance of collaboration within international organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation. They highlighted the need for mutual support and coordination in these platforms.
Minister Bayramov expressed that strengthening relations with African countries, including Nigeria, is a priority for Azerbaijan's foreign policy. He emphasized the importance of advancing cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy, and humanitarian efforts. Additionally, he pointed out the opportunities available to Nigerian nationals through Azerbaijan's Intergovernmental Scholarship Program.
