Azerbaijan and Oman Explore Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation

Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov recently held discussions with Saif bin Rashid bin Saif Al-Jahwari, the non-resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, to review and enhance the bilateral relations between the two nations. The meeting took place on March 10, focusing on the current state of affairs and potential areas for future cooperation.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening political dialogue and expanding economic and trade ties. Both parties expressed a shared interest in deepening collaboration in cultural and humanitarian areas, underscoring the mutual benefits of such partnerships.

The meeting also addressed regional and international issues, particularly the rising tensions and military escalation in the Middle East. Both sides conveyed their support for efforts to evacuate Omani citizens through Azerbaijan and to assist in the evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens via Oman, demonstrating a commitment to mutual aid and cooperation.

Furthermore, the discussions highlighted the importance of further developing bilateral relations and expanding ties to foster regional security. The significance of high- and top-level visits was noted as a means to strengthen diplomatic and economic relationships between Azerbaijan and Oman.
