New York:A memorandum has been signed between Azerbaijan's Ministry of Science and Education and OpenAI to expand the use of artificial intelligence in education over the next three years. The agreement, signed in New York by Minister Emin Amrullayev and OpenAI's Vice President Leah Belsky, aims to improve educational opportunities through AI technologies.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the collaboration focuses on enhancing teaching and learning experiences by integrating AI to make education more efficient and accessible. The agreement includes developing AI-based teaching tools, training educators in new technologies, and creating standards for safe AI use in schools.

One key area of focus is improving the education management system in mathematics, natural sciences, and reading using OpenAI technologies. This initiative aims to assist teachers with AI-driven lesson preparation, teaching material development, and student assessments, freeing up time for direct engagement with students.

The partnership also plans to introduce AI training programs for teachers, students, and educational staff, and includes a 'training of trainers' program to bolster local expertise in AI. Additionally, the parties will work together to devise ethical frameworks and guidelines for responsible AI use in education.

This is the second memorandum between the Ministry and OpenAI, building upon earlier efforts to develop an adaptive learning platform.
