Baku: Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, engaged in a telephone conversation with Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The discussion underscored the thriving strategic relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, built on the longstanding principles of friendship and brotherhood.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, both leaders highlighted the significant impact of visits by President Ilham Aliyev to Pakistan and reciprocal visits by Pakistani Prime Ministers to Azerbaijan. These high-level interactions and the agreements signed during these visits have played a crucial role in enhancing the bilateral ties between the two countries.
The discussion also acknowledged the productive relations established between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Both leaders commended the ongoing collaboration between their countries’ legislative bodies, not only on a bilateral level but also within international parliamentary organizations.
During the conversation, Gafarova and Gilani also exchanged views on additional matters of mutual interest, further solidifying the partnership between the two nations.
