Baku: Azerbaijan and Peru marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations with a commemorative exhibition and the unveiling of a joint postal card, envelope, and special postmark at Peru's Foreign Ministry in Lima. Addressing the ceremony, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Mexico and concurrently accredited to Peru, Seymur Fataliyev, highlighted the steady expansion of bilateral relations since diplomatic ties were established on June 25, 1996. He emphasized progress in political dialogue, parliamentary cooperation, cultural exchanges, and coordination in international organizations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Peru's Deputy Foreign Minister Erik Anderson praised the development of bilateral relations over the past three decades. He expressed confidence that political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation would continue to deepen. The exhibition, which showcases photographs and archival materials documenting the evolution of Azerbaijan-Peru relations since 1996, will remain open to visitors for 15 days.
