Baku: A productive meeting was held between Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmat Hajiyev, and his Romanian counterpart, Marius Lazurca, who is visiting Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hikmat Hajiyev expressed satisfaction with the discussions during the meeting, emphasizing the reaffirmation of the strategic partnership and traditional friendship between Azerbaijan and Romania. The talks explored broad opportunities for further deepening cooperation between the two nations.
As the EU member state geographically closest to the South Caucasus, Romania plays a significant role in the cooperation between the countries. Discussions included prospects for advancing collaboration in various fields, including political, economic, energy, defense, cultural, and humanitarian sectors. Both parties agreed to continue their active political and security dialogue, indicating a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
