Baku: A new episode of the program "Azerbaijan and the World" has been released on the AZERTAC website, featuring host Tamilla Mammadova in conversation with political scientist Iulian Chifu. The discussion focused on the prospects for Azerbaijani-Romanian cooperation and the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor for Europe.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Chifu, who is a former strategic policy adviser to the Romanian President, emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania. He noted that the strategic partnership between the two countries has progressed beyond energy, now including sectors such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, science, and investment. Chifu pointed out the significant role of SOCAR's activities in Romania and highlighted the potential for further expansion of economic cooperation.

Chifu also discussed the strategic significance of the Middle Corridor, describing it as an increasingly vital transport route between Asia and Europe. He believes that Azerbaijan and Romania are well-positioned to enhance the corridor's competitiveness and reliability, thereby playing a crucial role in its development.
