Moscow:An Azerbaijani delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev visited Russia to meet with Russian Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan, marking an official visit that highlighted mutual cooperation.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Kamran Aliyev expressed gratitude for the hospitality and emphasized the deep historical, cultural, political, and legal ties between Azerbaijan and Russia. He praised the existing cooperation between the prosecution authorities of the two nations.
The collaboration between the two countries' prosecution authorities covers areas such as law enforcement practices and legislative developments, along with legal assistance and extradition of offenders in criminal cases. Alexander Gutsan noted the traditionally high level of cooperation and discussed the potential for further expansion.
The meeting culminated in the signing of a Cooperation Program for 2027-2028 between the Prosecutor General's Offices of Azerbaijan and Russia.
