Azerbaijan and San Marino Discuss Energy Cooperation Prospects

Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, met with a delegation from San Marino, including Marco Gatti, Minister of Finance, Budget, Transport, and Energy, and Alessandro Bevitori, Minister of Labor, Economic Planning, Relations with AASS, Ecological Transition and Technological Innovation. During this meeting, the officials highlighted the potential for developing cooperation in the energy sector, supported by the strong political relations between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Parviz Shahbazov pointed out Azerbaijan's role as a reliable energy partner, exporting oil to 20 countries and natural gas to 16 countries. He also emphasized the country's commitment to large-scale renewable energy projects and major infrastructure initiatives that aim to create green energy corridors extending to Europe.

The discussions included an assessment of San Marino's current energy supply situation and explored opportunities for collaboration in areas such as natural gas supply, renewable energy, and green transition. Additionally, the meeting addressed San Marino's participation in events scheduled during Baku Energy Week, further cementing the cooperation between the two countries.
