Baku: Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Nasser Al-Qahtani, the Assistant Minister of Energy for Electricity Affairs of Saudi Arabia, during the opening ceremony of the 'Khizi-Absheron' Wind Power Plant. The meeting underscored the robust partnership between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the 240 MW 'Khizi-Absheron' Wind Power Plant, built by Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power, stands as a testament to the collaboration between the two nations. Both parties expressed their intention to further enhance their cooperation through additional projects.

During discussions, Shahbazov and Al-Qahtani explored avenues for collaboration in the 'OPEC+' format, focusing on hydrocarbons, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and regulation. They also examined opportunities for boosting regional connectivity in the energy sector and increasing energy interconnectivity between Central Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
