Seoul: Azerbaijan’s Central Bank and South Korea Financial Supervisory Service are exploring prospects for cooperation as part of a working visit to the Republic of Korea. An Azerbaijani delegation led by Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Taleh Kazimov, met with Lee Chan-jin, the Head of the South Korea Financial Supervisory Service.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of the financial sectors in both countries. They also focused on the reforms implemented in these areas and the efforts being made to strengthen the financial sector.
The discussions centered on the application of technological solutions and advanced supervisory methodologies in the banking, capital market, and insurance sectors. The meeting included an exchange of views on potential cooperation and joint initiatives between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the South Korea Financial Supervisory Service.
