Azerbaijan and Tajikistan Engage in Consular Discussions in Baku

Baku: The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan convened for another round of consular consultations in Baku on April 2. Leading the discussions were Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Bahodur Safarzoda, Head of the Main Consular Department of Tajikistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the talks were attended by Ilkhom Abdurakhmon, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, along with officials from various Azerbaijani ministries including the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Agency for Sustainable and Operative Social Provision (DOST).

The consultations centered on examining the present state and future possibilities of consular cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. The officials also assessed collaboration in areas such as justice, education, labor, and social protection.

Additionally, on the sidelines of the consultations, the Tajik delegation held a meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, further strengthening diplomatic relations between the two nations.
