Azerbaijan and Trkiye Discuss Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation

Baku: On February 24, Ahliman Amiraslanov, Chairman of the Committee of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis and Head of the Working Group on Azerbaijan-Trkiye Interparliamentary Relations, met with a delegation from Trkiye led by Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly (GNAT). The delegation is in Azerbaijan to attend the 10th meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Azerbaijani, Turkish, and Georgian parliaments.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Amiraslanov highlighted the developing bilateral relations across all domains, grounded in the existing friendship and brotherhood between the leaders and peoples of both countries. He emphasized that the frequent meetings between the parliamentary speakers, relevant parliamentary committees, and the activity of interparliamentary friendship groups significantly boost these ties.

Oktay stressed the progress in bilateral relations in all areas, including interparliamentary ties. He described energy security projects as a key element of bilateral cooperation and mentioned the progress in the economy and energy transformation, along with the enhancing of cooperation in these areas.
