Baku: Pursuant to the Protocol of the 17th Azerbaijan-Trkiye High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, an event took place at the Main Logistics Department of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense to advance cooperation between the two countries in military logistics, the Ministry of Defense reports.
According to Azeri-Press News agency, the event began with a tribute to the National Leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, and the founder of the Republic of Trkiye, Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, along with the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of both nations. A minute of silence was observed, followed by the playing of the national anthems.
Presentations highlighted the logistics experience gained during the Patriotic War, emphasizing the brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Trkiye and their contribution to regional peace and stability. Discussions addressed the pivotal role of logistics in modern warfare, focusing on strategic warning, critical vulnerabilities, and autonomous sustainment.
Further deliberations included wartime food and water supply, transportation of materiel and technical assets, maintenance unit activities, casualty evacuation, and the establishment of bath and laundry facilities. The guests visited a military unit to observe measures for organizing clothing and food support within the Azerbaijan Army.
The event concluded with the signing of a working protocol on the meeting outcomes, the exchange of commemorative gifts, and a session for answering participants' questions.
