Izmir: A meeting in Izmir between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Trkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar has resulted in significant discussions on advancing energy cooperation. Parviz Shahbazov shared details of the meeting through a post on his X account, highlighting the focus on both hydrocarbon and renewable energy projects that hold bilateral and regional significance.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting not only revolved around developing infrastructure for electricity exports to Trkiye through various routes but also included reports from working groups. These groups focused on hydrocarbons and petrochemicals, the Electricity Market, electricity distribution and transmission, regulation, energy efficiency, and mining. The discussions culminated in defining the next steps for cooperation in these critical areas, underscoring the strategic energy partnership between Azerbaijan and Trkiye.
