Azerbaijan and U.S. Discuss Future Collaborations in Hi-Tech and Logistics

Baku: Samir Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, recently held a meeting with Benny Mor, a representative from the Lincoln Club of Orange County, USA. The meeting focused on exploring potential partnerships between Azerbaijan and the United States in high technology, transport, and logistics sectors.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Samir Mammadov underscored the importance of collaboration with the United States in these sectors. He pointed out Azerbaijan’s progress in digital development, highlighting initiatives such as widespread broadband internet access, the establishment of TIER III data centers, the SIMA digital signature, and the ‘MyGov’ platform. These advancements have contributed to Azerbaijan achieving a ‘very high’ ranking in e-government.

During the discussions, both parties considered ways to foster long-term cooperation in business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) formats with companies affiliated with the Lincoln Club. They also explored the possibility of opening company representative offices in Azerbaijan, enhancing human capital, and undertaking joint investments and venture fund initiatives.
