Azerbaijan and UAE Discuss Plans to Boost Cooperation in Food Safety

Baku: Mammadrahim Najafov, Head of Apparatus of Azerbaijan's Food Safety Agency, recently met with Mohammed Al Blooshi, the UAE Ambassador to Azerbaijan, to discuss the enhancement of food safety cooperation between the two nations. The discussions emphasized the strengthening of ties in political, economic, and other sectors.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing plans for mutual exports of food products in 2025. A significant topic of discussion was the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan and the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment," which aims to enhance cooperation in animal health and food safety.

The officials also deliberated over the approval of veterinary certificates, which are essential for the mutual exports of animal products between Azerbaijan and the UAE.
