Baku: The main planning conference for the 'Shield of Peace 2026' exercise, involving servicemen from the Azerbaijan Army and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces, was held in Baku on December 25, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan to APA. The event, organized at the Ministry of Defense, saw military delegations from both countries engage in discussions on the exercise's objectives, scheduled to take place in the UAE in February 2026, alongside planning the activities to be carried out in successive phases.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, briefings were conducted on the tasks to be executed during the 'Shield of Peace 2026' exercise, with mutual interest questions being addressed. As part of the UAE delegation's visit to Azerbaijan, delegates had the opportunity to visit several military units of the Azerbaijan Army, where they received detailed information regarding the conditions and training levels of the servicemen.
