Azerbaijan and UK Discuss Preparations for Upcoming Intergovernmental Commission Meeting


Baku: The preparations for the next meeting of the Azerbaijan-United Kingdom and Northern Ireland Intergovernmental Commission have been discussed, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov said in a post on the X platform, APA reports. “During the meeting with Fergus Auld, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to our country, we exchanged views on strengthening bilateral energy cooperation, advancing interconnector projects in the field of Green Energy, a hydrogen strategy, and preparations for the upcoming session of the Intergovernmental Commission,” the post reads.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions between Azerbaijan and the UK focused on several key areas of mutual interest. These include the enhancement of bilateral energy cooperation, specifically through interconnector projects in Green Energy. The dialogue also covered the development of a hydrogen strategy, all of which are central to the agenda of the forthcoming Intergovernmental Commission session.
