Azerbaijan and UN-Habitat Collaborate on Future World Urban Forum Guidelines

Baku: A Letter of Intent has been signed between the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) to collaborate on developing operational guidelines for future World Urban Forum (WUF) sessions. This initiative will draw on the standards set by WUF13 in Baku, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the agreement follows a meeting between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Anacl¡udia Rossbach, on May 16. The Letter of Intent aims to serve as a decision-making guide for future hosts by building on the successful preparation and execution of WUF13 in Baku.

This collaboration seeks to enhance the operational efficiency of upcoming World Urban Forum sessions, ensuring that future hosts can benefit from the insights and strategies developed during the planning and implementation of WUF13.
