Baku:The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan held another round of consular consultations on October 7.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Uzbek delegation was headed by Abduvakhit Tursunov, Deputy Head of the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Representatives from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Science and Education, State Migration Service, State Border Service, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan also participated in the consultations.
The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of consular cooperation between the two countries. Topics included migration, justice, internal affairs, education, social affairs, and strengthening the legal framework to ensure the rights and protection of citizens from both nations.
Following the consultations, a protocol of the meeting was signed.
