This historic agreement signifies a commitment to eternal friendship, mutual trust, strategic partnership, and alliance between the two nations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Treaty emphasizes that both countries will not engage in any alliances that compromise the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of the other. It also prohibits the use of their territories by third parties in ways that could threaten these principles. The agreement extends to ensuring that no organizations or groups undermining each country's sovereignty are allowed to operate within their territories.
Furthermore, the Treaty outlines cooperation in various domains. The nations reaffirm their dedication to strengthening the role of the United Nations in conflict prevention and resolution and addressing regional and global security challenges. There is a focus on expanding parliamentary ties, enhancing legal cooperation, and fostering social and public foundations for friendship between their peoples.
Trade, economic, and investment cooperation are to be developed on principles of equality and mutual benefit, with joint projects anticipated in sectors such as energy, transport, logistics, digital development, agriculture, and e-commerce. The agreement also seeks to enhance the transport system, facilitating convenient and beneficial transportation and increasing the transit potential of transport corridors.
The Treaty underscores the significance of cultural and educational exchanges, aiming to preserve the spiritual, educational, and cultural closeness between the peoples. It promotes cooperation in science, education, medicine, culture, youth affairs, tourism, and sports, along with the mutual teaching of languages and cooperation between educational and scientific institutions.
