Azerbaijan Approves Healthcare Agreement with Latvia

Baku: Azerbaijan has officially approved an agreement focused on healthcare cooperation with Latvia. The Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Healthcare and Medical Science between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Latvia has received approval, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, signed a decree to formalize this agreement. The agreement was initially signed on December 4, 2025, in Riga. This development mandates the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan to ensure the implementation of the decree's provisions. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan is responsible for informing the Government of the Republic of Latvia that all necessary domestic procedures for the agreement's activation have been fulfilled.
