Baku: Azerbaijan has officially approved new regulations concerning air transportation, including the transportation of passengers, baggage, cargo, and postal items. Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decision to bring these regulations into effect.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the newly approved regulations outline the conditions under which passengers, along with their baggage, cargo, and postal items, can be transported on board aircrafts. This involves a transportation contract and commercial agreements that stipulate a certain fee for these services. The regulations are applicable to both domestic and international air transportation, covering regular and non-regular (charter) flights.

The regulations also stipulate that any commercial agreements made by carriers registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan must be reported to the State Civil Aviation Agency. This agency operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ensuring compliance with the international agreement on air transport.
