Baku: Azerbaijan has officially approved a cooperation agreement with Morocco focused on the fields of science and higher education. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to this effect, marking a significant step in the collaboration between the two nations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the 'Agreement on cooperation in the field of science and higher education' was initially signed in Rabat on February 16, 2026. The agreement outlines a partnership between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The decree mandates the Ministry of Science and Education to ensure the implementation of the agreement's provisions once it comes into force. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to inform the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco that all necessary domestic procedures for the agreement's activation have been completed.
