Baku: Azerbaijan has officially approved a memorandum on statistical cooperation with Belarus. President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree that ratifies the 'Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Statistics between the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus,' as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the memorandum was initially signed in Minsk on June 2, 2026. Following the decree, the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with implementing the provisions of the memorandum once it enters into force. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been directed to inform the Government of the Republic of Belarus that all domestic procedures required for the memorandum to become effective have been completed.
