Azerbaijan Begins Gas Exports to Croatia, Enhancing European Energy Security

BAKU — Starting September 1, 2024, the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has initiated natural gas supplies to Croatia, marking a significant milestone in energy cooperation between the two countries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this collaboration not only reinforces Azerbaijan’s status as a reliable energy partner but also bolsters the energy security of Europe ahead of the winter season. The gas is being delivered through partnerships with the PPD company and the MET Group. This development positions Croatia as the tenth European country to benefit from Azerbaijani gas, following others such as Italy, Greece, and Serbia.
