Azerbaijan celebrates Ramadan Holiday

Today and tomorrow marks Ramadan holiday in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

The Ramadan month in Azerbaijan started on April 2.

In Azerbaijan, the Ramadan holiday is celebrated on the 1st day of Shavval month i.e. on May 2.

Eid prayers will be held in the main mosques of the city, such as Ajdarbay Mosque or Blue Mosque, on May 2 at 09:00, and in Taza Pir Mosque at 10:00.

According to the Council of Qadi, it is recommended to pay zakat al-fitr of 10-15 manat per person during Ramadan.

Recall that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the traditional conduct of holiday prayers was limited. This year, the Ramadan prayer will be performed in the traditional way.

May 2-3 is a non-working day in Azerbaijan due to Ramadan.
