Accra:Six years have passed since the liberation of Khudaferin village in the Jabrayil district from Armenian occupation.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the Azerbaijani Army liberated the historic Khudaferin bridges and Khudaferin village on October 18, 2020, during the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020. This event occurred on the 22nd day of the conflict.
On the same day, the Azerbaijani Army also freed the Hajili and Haji Isagli villages in the Jabrayil district from occupation. The Armenian occupation, which lasted nearly 30 years, left Khudaferin village in ruins, with homes, administrative buildings, and other structures destroyed.
The liberation of Khudaferin village and its historic bridges is regarded as one of the notable events of the Patriotic War. Restoring control over these bridges, significant in Azerbaijani history, bolstered the Army's confidence and contributed to the enemy's military and psychological defeat.
