BAKU: The 29th Azerbaijan Championship and Baku Acrobatic Gymnastics Championship’s final day of competition is being held in Baku’s Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex, Trend reports.

Gymnasts are demonstrating mixed exercises today.

Participants in the competition are pupils of the Specialized Children and Youth Olympic Reserve School for Gymnastics, Ojag Sports Club, Neftchi Sports Club, and Specialized Children and Youth Olympic Reserve Sports School ?13.

Athletes compete for medals in women’s pairs (age category ‘kids’ (2009-2018 years of birth) and ‘children’ (2008-2013 years of birth)); men’s pairs (‘adults’ (2009 years of birth and older)); mixed pairs (‘adults’ (2009 years of birth and older)); women’s pairs (years and older)); women’s groups (‘Children’ (2008-2013), ‘Pre-Juniors’ (2006-2012), ‘Juniors’ (2005-2010), ‘Adults’ (2009 and older)); and men’s groups (‘Pre-Juniors’ (2006-2012), ‘Adults’ (2009 and older)).

On the first day of the competition, gymnasts demonstrated balance and tempo
exercises.

The competitions last two days (April 25-26) and involve 71 gymnasts.
