Baku:A nationwide moment of silence was observed at noon on September 27 to honor martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, people across Azerbaijan paused to remember the martyred soldiers and officers. During this time, traffic stopped, the national flag was lowered, and car sirens were sounded as a tribute.

This observance is in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev's order from December 2, 2020, which established September 27 as the Day of Remembrance. This day is dedicated to honoring those who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and gave their lives for the country's territorial integrity.
