Baku: In 2025, approximately 350 organ transplant surgeries were carried out in Azerbaijan, as reported by the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation under the Ministry of Health in response to an inquiry by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the surgeries included around 100 kidney transplants and approximately 60 liver transplants. Additionally, the medical teams conducted 2 heart transplants, about 30 bone marrow transplants, and roughly 130 corneal transplant procedures.

It was also highlighted that more than 50 of these transplant surgeries were performed on children, while nearly 300 were performed on adults.
