Azerbaijan Considers Relocating Universities from Baku


Baku: The relocation of universities situated in the center of Baku is being considered, as stated by the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev. He addressed this potential initiative while responding to journalists’ inquiries, suggesting that the matter is under exploration, though not yet confirmed.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Amrullayev mentioned that the relocation is currently in the phase of project formulation and preliminary proposals. He clarified that while the decision is not definitive, the possibility remains open. The minister highlighted the complexity of such a move, given that approximately 20,000 students and numerous teachers are part of the universities located in Baku’s center.
