Baku: The activities of Sahar TV, Mehr News Agency, and their representatives in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan are considered illegal, the Media Development Agency said in a statement, APA reports. "Taking into account the requirements of the relevant article and the principle of reciprocity, the activities of the media outlets 'Sahar' TV channel and Mehr News Agency, as well as their representatives, which act against the national interests of the Republic of Azerbaijan and conduct propaganda against the country's sovereignty, constitutional order, territorial integrity and national security, are considered illegal within the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Media Development Agency has called on all media entities and journalists operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan to refrain from cooperating with the above-mentioned media organizations and their affiliated representatives that act against the country's national interests. The statement further emphasized the importance of ensuring that international cooperation in the media sphere should be carried out solely on the basis of mutual respect and the professional independence of journalists.
