Sarajevo: The official visit of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, to Bosnia and Herzegovina is ongoing. As part of his itinerary, Colonel General Hasanov has engaged with both the Command of the European Union Forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Turkish Contingent.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the visit included an official welcoming ceremony at Camp Butmir, where Colonel General Hasanov met with Major General Florin-Marian Barbu, the Commander of the European Union Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation received detailed insights into the Command’s activities. The discussions highlighted Azerbaijan’s experience in cooperative programs such as the Partnership for Peace and the Operational Capabilities Concept, alongside other topics of mutual interest.

ster expressed his condolences to Turkey for the servicemen who lost their lives in the crash of the C-130 military cargo plane. The tragic incident occurred on November 11 at the Georgian-Azerbaijani border, affecting those aboard the plane that had departed from Azerbaijan to Turkey.
