Azerbaijan Defense Ministry Rejects Iran’s Denial of Drone Attacks

Baku: Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan has firmly rejected the Iranian General Staff's denial of drone attacks against Azerbaijan. The Ministry emphasized that Iran's claim of respecting the sovereignty of all countries, while refuting involvement in the drone attacks, is not acceptable.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, technical evidence confirmed that four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from the Iranian armed forces were directed towards Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan region. The Azerbaijani army successfully neutralized one UAV, while the others targeted civilian infrastructure, including a secondary school during class hours. Fortunately, the UAV intended for the school did not reach its target but exploded nearby.

The Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan has called for Iran to cease its denial, issue an apology for the incident, and hold accountable those responsible within its ranks.
